History of iPhones and Enterprise Mobility

According to SecurityIntelligence.com's, and fellow Flextronics' alumni, Dan Cheuvront [Linkedin], it was not until the fourth generation of the mobile operating system that Mobility Engineer's (Hmm, were we even spun off from regular IT Engineers at this time?) could perform basic MDM basics like Locate, Lock, and Wipe.

Cheuvront goes on to mention other features that Apple baked in over the years like the ability to manage biometric data for TouchID, included in iOS 7.

Take a look at Dan's article and learn about the progress Apple has done to help in securing and supporting iPhones and iPads. He made a great timeline on the page of Apple's progress.
