History of iPhones and Enterprise Mobility

I believe iOS is a great operating system for devices in the enterprise. Did you know that major Mobile Device Management capabilities did not arrive until iOS 4?

According to SecurityIntelligence.com's, and fellow Flextronics' alumni, Dan Cheuvront [Linkedin], it was not until the fourth generation of the mobile operating system that Mobility Engineer's (Hmm, were we even spun off from regular IT Engineers at this time?) could perform basic MDM basics like Locate, Lock, and Wipe.

Cheuvront goes on to mention other features that Apple baked in over the years like the ability to manage biometric data for TouchID, included in iOS 7.
